Festival&Friends is our vision of what a classical music festival can be in today’s world. We aim to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both audiences and musicians. We embrace the unpredictable, stay present, and dare to try new things — creating experiences each year that feel spontaneous, authentic, and alive.

Our Story

It all began on a summer house getaway in 2020.

During lockdown, while concerts and festivals were being canceled, we went to a special summer house on Stevns, past Køge. So many unforgettable memories were made there. It was also where we came up with the idea of starting a festival. With everyone at home, maybe people would come — maybe not — but we wanted to see each other and play music together.

The next two months were intense. Could we really pull off a festival so quickly, with rules changing all the time? Fortunately, it worked. The positive energy and feedback from musicians and audiences was overwhelming. Maybe it succeeded because we let go of norms, or simply because we had missed each other.

Whatever the reason, it inspired us to keep playing and experimenting. Our vision remains: to play great music, to inspire each other, and to hang out after the concerts. The more, the merrier — welcoming new and different audiences to our concerts.

Volunteering

We are a small team and are always looking for extra hands to help with practical tasks, such as checking tickets, welcoming guests, making sure there are enough chairs, and keeping drinks and snacks stocked backstage. It’s always a fun and friendly environment.

In return, you and your friends will get full access to the festival. Come experience the buzzing energy backstage before the magic unfolds on stage.

You’ll also have the opportunity to invite even more friends to come and listen. We will provide unlimited snacks, drinks, and meals throughout the festival. And we will most definitely throw in some merch too! Reach out to our email if you want to join.
